Each of the sections in this version is in a separate file in Word format. Follow the steps below to work on this version offline.
1) Create a new Folder to hold your LLQ sections.
2) Go to the Word-version Table of Contents and click on the section you want to download.
3) Click on the OPEN button in the box that appears. If you want to fill in the form more than once, you should Save the document as a Template.
You can now open the template in MS WORD in the usual way and fill it in. Save any filled-in forms as a Word Document using a filename that identifies the user and perhaps the date.
There will be a single blank
Word Template for each section that serves as the underlying structure for
several or more filled-in Word Documents.
If you want to edit the form you must first unlock it: 1)Select Toolbars in the Views drop-down menu at the top of the screen and make sure the Forms toolbar is checked. Toggling the Padlock icon at the right end of the toobar will lock and unlock the form. Remember to lock the form before using it, otherwise the form fields will not work.
.When you open the form, the cursor
will be in the first form field, such as a check box or a space to enter text.
You can move from field to field with the Tab, Page Up or Down and Arrow keys.
To move through text, you must use the scroll bar at the right-hand side of the
page. Check boxes are marked by clicking them with the mouse or pressing the
Space bar. Text areas for essay-type answers will expand to accommodate your
responses.
The purpose of this version is to allow a person to fill in the answers on his or her computer and to Save the work. This is the most convenient way to do this. (You can open other versions, and Save your work, but the text is small and navigation through the form is difficult.)
The form will be locked when you download it so that you can enter your responses. If for some reason it is unlocked, you can lock it clicking the padlock icon on the Forms toolbar. Unlocking the form is necessary only if you want to modify its contents.
The content is the same as the Brief Version, meaning that most of the explanatory text is left out. The Full-version text is available as a separate file, and can be read separately or added back in.
If more than one person is going to use this version, each person can save their work to a separate file, or each of the twelve sections can be renamed for each person or copied to a separate subdirectory.
You may feel free to modify the Word Form of the LLQ to suit your personal or educational needs. For example, you might want to use the missing text in some fashion, or leave out some of the questions.
